MEDIA TRUST
ME & MY STAMMER
Creative Director
To create a captivating and easy-to-understand piece of content that explores the misconceptions, stigma, and bullying surrounding stammering in early education environments.
THE WORK
My journey began with a desire to change perceptions of stammering, drawing on my own experiences. Partnering with the Media Trust and Action for Stammering Children, we set out to create something playful, authentic, and full of hope.
Together, we crafted a mockumentary that follows Elliot and his stammer (comedian Ed MacArthur) as he visits the team at ASC, capturing both the challenges and the humour along the way.
Premiering on International Stammering Awareness Day, the film gained national attention on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, won the People’s Choice Award at the Smiley Charity Film Awards, and sparked a surge in ASC’s social media engagement.
Today, it continues to open doors for conversation as an awareness resource in schools across the UK.
